Agricultural Engineering is one of the Engineering like Civil Engineering mechanical Engineering. The Agricultural Engineering is the applied science mainly having field on Agriculture. This Engineering applies the many Agricultural principle, theory and technologies to the field of Agriculture. This Engineering is developed especially to modernize the agricultural system by importing the technology in the primitive agricultural system. This engineering applies the scientific knowledge, principles and theories mainly based on 3E (Effective, Efficient and Economic) principle.

In the context of Nepal, there is only one institution offering the Agricultural Engineering Study. Among many universities and collage only Purwanchal campus, Dharan offers the students to study Agricultural Engineering under the Institute of Engineering of Tribhuvan University. In that the Agricultural Engineering is the four year bachelor program. The student who have passed the Diploma in any Engineering or plus two science (+2 science) or ISc they can be appear in the IOE (Institute of Engineering)'s entrance examination. The students who passed that entrance, they can apply for Agricultural Engineering. According to TU's admission system, from the application of students, students for the admission are selected according to their entrance rank and quota system.
There are only 48 seats for the Agricultural engineering per year. Among these 12 seats are in Regular scheme and 36 seat are in Full Fee scheme. But 10% seats are reserved for ladies. If any staff's children or a foreign also applies then one one seat are reserved for them and one quota is fixed for a student coming from Dalit, Madheshi, Janajati or physically disable student. These all specified quota are full fee quota only. So there is no quota system on regular seat except 10% seat for the girls.
In the Tribhuvan university's academic syllabus the course structure of the Agricultural Engineering is designed as the
First two semester (first year)'s course is same with the all other engineering. But from the Third semester and later the course is mainly focused to the core subjects and some subject some topics or some part only becomes same (similar) to other some engineering such as the Civil Engineering, Mechanical  Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering etc. Some people also define the 'Agricultural Engineering is the combination of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Chemical Engineering. In fact Agricultural Engineering is the combination of many Engineering and it tries to relate them in one place best usable for the Agriculture field. Some field such as Farm mechanics, Irrigation, Biomaterial, Soil conservation and Water managements, Refrigeration and cold storage etc are its core subjects but hydraulics, fluid mechanics, hydrology, Surveying, Building design, Robotics, micro hydro, Electric machine etc are the accessory subjects  on Agricultural Engineering.

Agricultural Engineering

Agricultural Engineering is the applied field of Engineering and Technology that intends to applying principle and practices of engineering sciences in agricultural and rural development, with overall being enhancement of quality and quality of agricultural production , sustainable management of natural  resources, rural infrastructure development and enhancement of rural economy and quality of rural life. In terms of focus and application Agricultural Engineering with implicit aim of contributing to rural life.
The academic curriculum in Agricultural Engineering, around the world , are focused to training competent graduates ready to apply knowledge and skills in design, development, operation and management of engineering systems and structures related to agricultural mechanization, agricultural processing, food engineering, land and water management, rural energy and rural infrastructure. Some universities have restructured their Agricultural Engineering curriculum into Bio- Resources Engineering by incorporating recent development and emphasis on bio-processing, biotechnology and energy management, which is again a derivative of Agricultural Engineering.
Agricultural Engineering is expected to serve in the areas of following fields:
a)    Farm Machinery Development and Promotion.
b)    Irrigation and Agricultural Drainage works.
c)    Soil Conservation and Watershed Management.
d)    Processing and Storage of Food Products.
e)    Rural Energy.
f)    Rural Infrastructure and Development.
g)    Livestock Management and Agri-Business.
In present scenario Agricultural Engineers are engaged in the following Organizations of the Country:
a)    Department of Agriculture.
b)    Department of Irrigation.
c)    Department of Soil and Water Conservation.
d)    Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC).
e)    International Development Enterprises (IDE/Nepal).
f)    Institute of Engineering.
g)    Non-Government Organizations (NGOs).
h)    International Non-Government Organizations (INGOs).
i)    Farm Machinery Companies.
j)    Food Processing Companies.
Besides large numbers of Agricultural Engineers are pursuing their higher level Education abroad in USA, Japan, Korea and European Countries.

  1. I will recommend to anyone who is looking for a business loan at Le_Meridian, they helped me with a loan of four million dollars to start my quilting business, and that was quick. When I received a loan from them, it was amazing how easy it was for them to work. They can finance up to $ 500,000,000,000 (five hundred million dollars) in any region of the world, if the projects can be guaranteed a return on investment of 1.9%. The process was quick and safe. It was definitely a positive experience. Avoid scammers and contact Le_Meridian Funding Service On. lfdsloans@lemeridianfds.com/lfdsloans@outlook.com. WhatsApp ... + 19893943740.
