This is Nepal's largest exhibition on Agricultural Machinery, farm equipment and technologies.
On third week of February 2018 (22, 23, 24 & 25th Feb 2018), 4 day's Nepal's largest exhibition on Agricultural Machinery, farm equipment and technologies 'Third national agricultural machinery exhibition 2074' is organized at IOE, Purwanchal Campus, Dharan-8, Sunsari organized by Agricultural Engineering Directory, Prime-minister Agricultural Modernization Project, Nepal Agricultural Machinery Entrepreneurs' Association and co organizer Dharan sub metropolitan city, Sunsari industrial and commercial organization, Purwanchal campus.

For the purpose of agricultural mechanization, modernization, this
exhibition is going to be held. In every two year this type of exhibition is organized. Before it, in Chitwan and Kohalpur Banke, the 1st and 2nd exhibition were organized.

In this exhibition, There will be exhibited more than 2000 machinery  and farm equipment that are produced from about 20 countries. There will be more than 150 stall in exhibition, and in each stall from small hand tool and equipment to large machinery would be exhibited and interested people can buy in discounted price. Mostly Tillaging, ploughing tractor, mini-tractor, power tiller mini tiller seeding etc, pesticide, fertilizer application and plant protecting, irrigating, harvesting and post harvesting equipment will be exhibited. Exhibitor exhibit the machinery with practical use and descriptional methods.

Organizer have managed free Bus for visitors for this they should contact their respective District Agriculture Office.

Centre for Applied Research and Development (CARD) and Institute of Engineering ERC Dharan have been organized 3 days summer school on "Sustainable Engineering Tools for Agricultural Robotics and Mechanization ~ SET FARM – 2017" and Workshop. Summer school had been facilitated by the three professors from Washington State University, United States of America and other Nepalese researcher. Interested engineers and students had participated from all over the country.
That Summer School had been conducted in Pulchowk Engineering Campus, Lalitpur on 18 to 20 June 2017 at 10 AM to 5 PM . Venue: Pulchowk Engineering Campus, Lalitpur, Nepal. To organize that program much more homework has been done by Dr. Arun K. Timalsina (CARD), Er. Javed Alam (HOD of Department of Agricultural Engineering) and Er Sagar Kafle.

The main interesting part of the program became ‘panel discussion’ on ‘The Prospects of Automation/Mechanization in Nepalese Farm’ as a Moderator today. That may help to erase the suspending questionnaire of new researcher. The main Panelists were
Prof. Dr. Manoj Karkee, Washington State University
Er. Dev Raj Niraula, Department of Irrigation
Mr. Scott Justice, CIMMYT
Er. Jawed Alam, IOE, ERC
Dr. Anup Pradhan, University of Johannesburg
Er. Saroj Adhikari, Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project

About 70 student and researcher were participated in that program and that program has become much more effective for newly growing researcher. On that program they learn many more automation system that can be applied to general mechanism.
